Double Barrelled Turnover Flintlock Pistol – made by W.Bailes, United Kingdom, 1750
The piece itself is entirely made from Resin styled to look like carved ivory with the barrel and forniments in burnished cast metal.
It is beautifully carved/engraved with a double barrelled mechanism that can be rotated allowing two shots to be fired before requiring a reload. It includes 2 removable ramrods in wood and brass that slot on either side of the double barrels.
At 33cm in length, this is a life-sized reproduction derringer and feels satisfyingly weighty to hold. Even though the pistol has been made from materials that cannot be used in real firearms, the firing mechanism still produces a satisfying “click” when the trigger is pulled. This piece would therefore be perfect for re-enactments, tv or stage performances.
This is just one in our collection of iconic Flintlock replica pistols.
